Redistribution and Customized
Supply Chain Services
Redistribution Services
A pioneer in the area of redistribution, BASIX has nearly 20 years of experience in the design and execution of successful redistribution programs for numerous foodservice customers.
Acting as a redistributor in your supply chain, BASIX will purchase truckload quantities from your suppliers and warehouse the products. The individual restaurant delivery distributors then purchase multiple suppliers’ products from BASIX on one purchase order, thereby filling an entire truckload. The addition of redistribution to your supply chain network increases operating efficiencies and reduces costs by improving truckload utilization and eliminating 30-40% of the purchase orders generated.
Our programs are designed and implemented to ensure optimized efficiencies
and total supply chain cost reduction. We ANALYZE®and make projections based
on the lowest total cost at the point of customer use, and we intermingle products
to create the most efficient inventory quantities possible.
We’ve perfected our leading-edge processes and technologies, which enable us to ANALYZE®any and all supply chains. Plus, our broad array of resources offers quick and efficient implementation of our programs, including:
- Customized redistribution for your mid-volume proprietary products.
- Customer service, order management and risk management.
- Inventory management and “re-buy” for over 50% of your supply chain trading relationships.
- Complete visibility of all network inventory.
- Distribution operations, such as our state-of-the-art warehouse management system (WMS), receiving, put-away, order selection, shipping, product quality assurance and lot control.
- Ability to support your program either in our own multi-temp facilities or through third party providers depending on the geographic location that makes the most sense for your existing network.
- Semi-annual (at a minimum) re-evaluations of your network and recommendations for changes in the mix of product moving through redistribution. These reviews identify adjustments necessary due to seasonality, growth, changes in supply points and other factors.
